APPLICATION TO AN BORD PLEANÁLA
IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 177AE OF THE PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT ACT 2000 (as amended)

 

SITE NOTICE

 

In accordance with Section 177AE of the Planning and Development Act 2000 (as amended) and the Planning and Development Regulations 2001 (as amended), notice is hereby given that Limerick City & County Council proposes to seek the approval of An Bord Pleanála to carry out the following works located in the townlands of Templeathea West and Gortnagross;

  • Removal of excess gravel build up in the River Galey in the vicinity of Athea Bridge

Limerick County Council has prepared a Natura Impact Statement (NIS) in respect of the proposed development. This NIS, along with plan and particulars of the proposed works are available for inspection in the offices of Limerick City and County Council during normal office hours from 20 May 2021 until 2 July 2021.

Alternatively, these documents are available and can be downloaded from MyPoint, https://mypoint.limerick.ie/, the online public collaboration and consultation portal of Limerick City and County Council.

Submissions and observations in respect of the proposed development relating to;

  • The implications of the proposed development for proper planning and sustainable development in the area concerned,
  • The likely effects on the environment of the proposed development, and
  • The likely significant effects of the proposed development on a European site

may be made to An Bord Pleanála, 64 Marlborough Street, Dublin 1 and must be received no later than 5.30 pm on 2 July 2021.

An Bord Pleanála may give approval to the application for development with or without conditions or may refuse the application for development
