NOTICE OF THE CONFIRMATION OF A COMPULSORY PURCHASE ORDER MADE UNDER SECTION 76 OF AND THE THIRD SCHEDULE TO THE HOUSING ACT 1966, AS EXTENDED BY SECTION 10 OF THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT (NO. 2) ACT 1960 AND AMENDED AND EXTENDED BY THE PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT ACT 2000 (AS AMENDED) INCLUDING SECTION 213 OF THE PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT ACT 2000 (AS AMENDED), LOCAL GOVERNMENT ACTS 1925 – 2024 INCLUDING SECTION 11 AND 184 OF THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT ACT, 2001 AND LOCAL GOVERNMENT (NO. 2) ACT 1960, ROADS ACTS 1993 - 2015 AND ALL OTHER ACTS THEREBY ENABLING, TO BE PUBLISHED IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 78(1) OF THE HOUSING ACT, 1966, AS AMENDED AND EXTENDED BY THE PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT ACTS 2000 (AS AMENDED).

 

Limerick City and County Council, having offices at Corporate Headquarters, Merchant’s Quay, Limerick made a confirmation order confirming (without modification) the above named Compulsory Purchase Order in respect of the land described in the Schedule hereto. The said order, as so confirmed, authorises Limerick City and County Council to acquire the said land compulsorily.  A copy of the order as so confirmed and of the map referred to in it can be inspected at:

  • Corporate Headquarters, Merchant’s Quay, Limerick V94 EH90,
  • Council Offices, Dooradoyle, Limerick, V94 WV78,
  • Newcastle West Municipal Office, Aras William Smith O’Brien, Newcastle West, Co. Limerick V42 EH73,
  • Adare – Rathkeale Municipal Office, Aras Sean Finn, New Line, Rathkeale, Co. Limerick V94HK1V.

from 20th November to 18th December (inclusive) on normal working days between the hours of 9am and 5pm.

 

The order, as so confirmed will become operative at the expiration of three weeks after the date of publication of this notice.

An Application for judicial review of the decision of the Council under Order 84 of the Rules of the Superior Courts (S.I. No. 15 of 1986) may be made to the High Court within eight weeks of the date of publication of this notice in accordance with section 50 of the Planning and Development Act, 2000 (as amended) and as substituted by Section 13 of the Planning and Development(Strategic Infrastructure) Act, 2006.
