Need to consider why previous plan was not implemented (in particular Policy TR.9 Cycling & Walking) https://www.limerickcycling.ie/
Bigger focus on public transport and move away from cars.
5 key infrastructural improvements would improve our personal and community life, enhancing health, safety and well-being. From smaller to large scale public projects, all community members would benefit, while addressing local and national government policies and plans.
The toxic waste from the alumina plant at Aughinish is causing an increasing and grave health impact on residents of neighbouring counties. The dumped waste from the site needs to be removed and adequate monitoring put in place for the future.
Provide the resources to protect and enhance our water bodies and natural environment
Limerick has so much potential, we need to tap into it.
Key connectivity enablers are inconsistent with State ambition on climate
* We have a fantastic population of active citizens which want to make a difference by living sustainably and working as a community, if given the support and infrastructure to do so. Mainly sustainable development goals 3,11,13

Given that Limerick CYPSC is a strategic county-wide committee aimed at improving outcomes for children and young people, it should be named and acknowledged as a key partner within the Limerick Development Plan, where relevant. Under the forthcoming Limerick CYPSC CYPP, the committee has identified the following priority areas under the five national outcomes for children and young people. Where these priorities overlap with Limerick Council, Limerick CYPSC are open to developing a collaborative partnership approach to addressing these priorities.
Making use of Cruises Street
Older people in Co. Limerick are suffering due to a severe lack of Transport (Bus) services.
Vision for Limerick to be built upon a interconnected series of urban and rural green space interventions for Health and Well-Being and create a sustainable city and county.
The Ballyclough community should be included within the Southern Environs Area
Limerick needs to commit to supporting Youth Arts generally (recognising the difficulty for organisations to secure core funding), to support film and filmmakers and, combining these two, to support young filmmakers.
It feels largely unsafe to cycle in the city.
Limerick City should provide support to Irish Travellers.
Socially excluded groups need to be systemically integrated into the city
Development in the city needs to be prioritized over the suburbs.
My opinion is that Limerick needs more activity for children and adults. I believe that there is huge potential for water sports, classes, competitions and activity on the river to draw more footfall into the city.
The N/M20 Cork to Limerick Road Improvement Scheme is a priority national project which will deliver significant strategic regional, city and local community benefits. It is important that this project is placed on an appropriate policy footing in the forthcoming Limerick Development Plan.
That Limerick's infrastructure should be overhauled to prioritise pedestrians and cyclists.
