Main reasons

I object to this proposal for a number of reasons: 01. there is no demand for it. 02. at a time of Climate Crisis public funds should not be spent on needless infrastructure to facilitate vehicular traffic, at the expense of the environment in a local amenity area which is well used and loved. 03. it will make the cycle and pedestrian route from the City Centre to the University of Limerick more dangerous because now a road crosses the route. 04. it will lead to an intensification of traffic in Lower Park Road which will lead to a demand for re-surfacing and widening. 05. it is premature:- at the very least, the effects of the Northern Distributer Road on the traffic patterns in the area should be observed before embarking on such needless expenditure of public funds.
