NOTICE OF PROPOSED MATERIAL ALTERATIONS TO THE PROPOSED KILLMALLOCK LOCAL AREA PLAN 2019 - 2025

  

NOTICE is hereby given that Limerick City and County Council has, in pursuance of the provisions of the above Act, prepared Proposed Material Alterations to the Proposed Kilmallock Local Area Plan for the period 2019 - 2025.

A copy of the Proposed Material Alterations, Strategic Environmental Assessment on Material Alterations and Appropriate Assessment Screening and Determination on the Material Alterations to the Proposed Kilmallock Local Area Plan will be on display from Saturday 3rd August 2019 to Monday 2nd September 2019 inclusive and may be inspected in Limerick City and County Council Offices in Merchants Quay, Dooradoyle and Kilmallock, each day (exclusive of public holidays) from Monday to Friday between the hours of 9.00am and 4.30pm.  A copy of the Proposed Material Alterations may also be inspected in public libraries at Kilmallock, Dooradoyle, and The Granary, Michael Street, Limerick. The Proposed Material Alterations and associated documentation will also be available on Limerick City & County Council’s website at www.limerick.ie/council

 

Submissions/observations with respect to the Proposed Material Alterations, Strategic Environmental Assessment on Material Alterations and Appropriate Assessment Screening and Determination on the Material Alterations to the Proposed Kilmallock Local Area Plan made may be made as follows:

  • In writing to  Forward/Strategic Planning, Limerick City & County Council,  Merchants Quay, Limerick,  V94 EH90

 Please make your submission by one medium only i.e. in hard copy, online or e-mail by close of business on Monday 2nd September 2019 for consideration by the Council before the Local Area Plan is made.

In complying with SEA Directive (2001/42/EC) and the Planning and Development (Strategic Environmental Assessment) Regulations 2004 to 2011, Limerick City & County Council has carried out Strategic Environmental Assessment Screening and determined that a SEA is not required for the Material Alterations to the Proposed Kilmallock LAP.

A Screening for Appropriate Assessment has been carried out for the Material Alterations to the Proposed Kilmallock Local Area Plan, in accordance with the requirements of Article 6 of the EU Habitats Directive 92/43/EEC.  Limerick City & County Council has determined that a full Appropriate Assessment is not required in this case.

All submissions will be published on the Council’s website, as required. The details including the names of those making submissions may be shared with relevant Council Departments involved in the making of the Local Area Plan and may form part of reports linked to the making of the Local Area Plan.

 

The Chief Executive’s Report outlining submissions and observations received will include the names of those who made submissions or observations and will be included in the agenda for the Cappamore - Kilmallock Municipal District Meeting and will be published on the Limerick City & County Council website.
