Draft Southern Environs Local Area Plan 2021 - 2027

Pursuant to Section 20 of the Planning and Development Act 2000 (amended) notice is hereby given that Limerick City and County Council being the Planning Authority for the area, has prepared a Draft Local Area Plan (LAP) for the Southern Environs.
The Draft Southern Environs Local Area Plan 2021-2027 comprises a written statement and maps and is accompanied by:
- A Strategic Environmental Assessment Report on the likely effects on the environment of implementing the Local Area Plan, pursuant to the Planning and Development(Strategic Environmental Assessment) Regulations 2004 – 2011
- Appropriate Assessment Natura Impact Statement – pursuant to the EU Habitats Directive (92/43/EEC) and
- Strategic Flood Risk Assessment
Copies of the Draft Southern Environs Local Area Plan are available on the Council’s website www.limerick.ie on https://mypoint.limerick.ie and in hard copy in Corporate Headquarters, Merchants Quay V94 EH90, County Hall, Dooradoyle V94 WV78, and Dooradoyle County Library V94 AP03.
Submissions/Observations may be made in respect of the Draft Southern Environs Local Area Plan and associated Environment Report, Natura Impact Statement and Flood Report. All submissions made by 5.00 p.m. on the 23rd of November 2020 will be taken into consideration and included in the Chief Executives Report.

Any submissions or observations shall state your name, address and where relevant, the body or organisation represented.
The Chief Executive’s Report outlining submissions and observations received will include the names of those who made submissions or observations and will be included in the agenda for the Council meetings and will be published on the Limerick City and County Council website.
