Athea Flood Relief Scheme - Public Participation Day

As part of the development of a viable Flood Relief Scheme for Athea, Co. Limerick, Limerick City & County Council, in partnership with the Office of Public Works, and the appointed Environmental and Engineering Consultants Ryan Hanley, wish to invite members of the public to a consultation event at which the emerging preferred option will be displayed including variations for Public Realm Enhancement at the bandstand area.

The event will take place in the Con Colbert Community Hall, Athea, Co. Limerick, V94 H772 on Wednesday 21st February 2024 from 5.00pm to 8.00pm.

In advance of the event, information and content on the Athea Flood Relief Scheme will be delivered by post, to households, business owners and stakeholders within the scheme area.

The purpose of the event is to give interested parties an update on the project, to display the emerging option for the Flood Relief Scheme and to offer an opportunity to engage with the project team on the option.  The project team would welcome feedback from members of the public, and you are invited to attend the consultation event and submit comments, observations and/or queries. Questionnaires will be available both on-line and at the event.

Members of the Project Team, including our Engineering & Environmental Consultants, Ryan Hanley will attend the public consultation event to provide further information and address any queries.

Questionnaires can be returned via drop-boxes at the Con Colbert Community Hall on the day of the event (21st February 2024 from 5.00pm to 8.00pm), via email to atheafrs@ryanhanley.ie  or by post to:
