Draft Discussion Paper to begin the process of drafting the Limerick City and County Council Biodiversity Action Plan 2024/5-2030

Limerick City and County Council in partnership with the Heritage Council is beginning a process to draft a Limerick Biodiversity Action Plan.  The aim of this plan will be to protect and enhance biodiversity within Limerick City and County.  The new Limerick Biodiversity Action Plan will contribute to regional and national efforts to protect and enhance our natural heritage. 

The aim of this discussion paper is to begin this process and to:

  • Hear your views on nature/biodiversity/natural heritage
  • Listen to your views on what actions are needed and
  • Record, conserve and restore biodiversity in Limerick
  • Make space for Nature

Submissions, views and observations will be welcome from citizens, businesses or from an agency or group that works to conserve and protect the natural elements of the environment that in turn will protect biodiversity.
