National Tree Week takes place from March 19th to March 26th 2023.
Trees are a vital part of Ireland’s natural heritage. Ireland has one of the lowest cover of forest in the EU at 11.4%, compared to an EU average of 38.3% in 2020 (Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine, 2020).
One of the outcomes of this survey is to identify suitable greenspaces where additional trees can be planted into the future.
