Pedestrianisise O'Connell St and have better cyclist access.
Failure of proposed plans to fulfil the visions and objectives set out in the brief
Observation 3 - Unnecessary amount bollards that will cause a risk to cyclists
2. Observation 2 - Continued facilitation of through traffic in the form of dual-lane one-directional roads without conta-flow access for bike users
1. Observation 1 - Lack of provision of any segregated cycling infrastructure
Access
Cycling will improve quality of life in Limerick - for all.
Shared Spaces Don't Work
Failure to fully pedestrianise is a missed opportunity
The proposed plans will not improve O'Connell street. Fully pedestrianising will.
There should be no cars on O'Connell Street
Bike lanes are necessary for the future of Limerick, and they are seriously lacking both currently and in this proposal.
