Notice is hereby given that, pursuant to Section 38 (3) of the Road Traffic Act 1994, as amended by the Public Transportation Regulation Act, 2009 (Section 46), Limerick City and County Council proposes to introduce traffic calming measures on the R521 at Ardagh
The proposed works will involve the provision of footpaths, public lighting and positive drainage as required along R521 on either side of the traffic lights. Accommodation works including structural walls maybe required as the land is much lower than the road on Newcastle West side of the traffic lights. This proposal is to provide enhanced safety features on this road for residents within the 50kmph speed limit.
Maps showing the location of the proposed works may be inspected at the following location during normal office hours, for a period of one month, from Thursday, 5th of May 2022:

Observations or representations in relation to the proposal may be made, in writing and marked Section 38 – R521 Ardagh Footpath, to the District Roads Engineer, Newcastle West District Office, Limerick City and County Council, Aras William Smith O’Brien, Gortboy, Newcastle West, Co. Limerick and must be received by Thursday, 2nd of June 2022.
