Proposed Cycle Lanes and Footpaths on the

R-526, St. Nessan's Road, Limerick City

 

Notice is hereby given that, pursuant to Section 38 (3) of the Road Traffic Act 1994, as amended by the Public Transportation Regulation Act, 2009 (Section 46), Limerick City & County Council hereby gives notice of its intention to introduce the following road amendments on the R-526 St. Nessan’s Road, between Ballykeeffe Roundabout and St. Paul's Roundabout, Limerick City.

 

  • Provision of two-way cycle track from Crescent Court to St. Paul's Church on the east side of the R526
  • Linkage of the two-way cycle track to crossing on the R926 at Crescent Shopping Centre
  • Re-location of existing pedestrian crossing on Father Russell Road

 

The works will involve the construction and installation of new footpaths, cycle tracks, road markings, drainage and associated works.

Drawings and particulars of the proposed project are available for inspection at Limerick City and County Council, Dooradoyle Road, Dooradoyle, Limerick (V94 WV78) and Corporate Headquarters, Merchants Quay, Limerick, V94 EH90 and can be inspected during normal office hours from 20th March 2024 to 19th April 2024 inclusive. They are also available for inspection online during the above timeframe at https://mypoint.limerick.ie

Submissions or observations regarding the proposal may be made in writing to Active Travel at the above office or online at https://mypoint.limerick.ie on or before 5pm, on 19th April 2024.
