A Chara, I write to express my concern about the cull of trees approximately 22 that currently exist beside the green area adjacent to Blackthorn Estate. The trees and hedges have over many years grown to both shelter the residents from the noise of traffic while also visually enhancing their community. This proposal is contrary to promoting biodiversity as the removal of the trees and vegetation will negatively impact on flora/ fauna and local wildlife. I would ask that we reconsider design that will facilitate the retention of theses trees which contribute significantly to the quality of life and safety of residents and young children
As outlined in introductory summary I request that the current trees aligned to the green area adjacent to Blackthorn Estate are retained as part of a redesign of the scheme
