Fully support the Father Russell Road Cycleway

I fully support this scheme. The planned cycle lane will link the existing cycle infrastructure in Dooradoyle, Mungret and planned infrastructure on Fr Russell Rd providing a safe route for many children to cycle to school. This should in turn relieve the current traffic volume and dangerous parking outside the schools. However it is important that the cycle lane is fully segregated to prevent parking on it (the new Dooradoyle road segregation works well).

I find it very disappointing that Raheen roundabout and the entrance to Raheen Business Park are not included in this plan. I hope a safe cycle route can be considered for the roundabout, Ballycummin Rd and Nessans Rd in the near future.

Please try to find a way to plan around the existing green infrastructure. Saving semi-mature / mature trees should be of the utmost importance in the current climate crisis.
