Chapter 3 - Appropriate Assessment and Environmental Impact Assessment Screening Reports

The intended one way system from Fennesys pub to Lifford Gardens  is not conducive with a free flowing, transport orientated city network. To close off this sections of road will only lead to more congestion on subsequent approach roads to the city, thus leading to even less people coming into the city centre to shop, thus leading to even greater decline of our city centre.

There is no reason that this sections of Rd can't be left as a two way system and shared by all modes of transport,  most of all shared by the 30plus busses that service Catherine McAuley school.

The pinch points along this section of Rd could be done in a safe manner to allow all modes of transport pass safely.

Main opinion:

Please don't make this section of Rd a oneway
