Chapter 1 - Planning Application Form and Notices

Segregated cycle lanes are needed in the city to make cycling a safe and viable option for people traveling around the city for work or leisure activities. We urgently need Limerick City to embrace active travel. The proposed segregated cycle lanes are a positive addition to the city and a step in the right direction for creating a liveable city that will be attractive for business and encourage potential employees to want to live here.

Main opinion:

I strongly support the South Circular Road to city centre active travel plan.

Main requests:

Segregated cycle lanes, safe pedestrian routes, reduced use of cars, reduced on-street car parking.

Main reasons:

Business owners like myself need Limerick to implement a safe active travel system to make the city attractive to business and to create a lielveable city that will entice people to live and work and do business in the city. We need the active travel plan to be implemented as soon as possible and applied throughout the whole city.
