I 100% support this. This scheme has the potential to transform Limerick. Not only will it allow people from the area to cycle into the city centre, it is also an important corridor to connect Dooradoyle and Raheen with the rest of the city. This will allow one to cycle safely all the way between Raheen Business Park and the Jetland shopping centre with protected cycle lanes the whole way. Combining this with the soon to open O'Connell street cycle lanes and people will be able to cycle all the way from southern Raheen to the University of Limerick using all cycle lanes. This is a very important missing artery in Limerick's cycle network. It is key for getting people to work and children to school and will decrease car traffic in the city.
