Chapter 5 - Vision and Key Objectives
Submission by the Board of Abbeyfeale Community Council to LCCC regarding Draft Abbeyfeale Town Centre First Plan.
Firstly, congratulations to Karen and Team at LCCC for including most if not all of the points raised at the various meetings and consultations pertaining to this Draft Town Centre First Plan over the past several months.
(i) Could the wording of the "Vision" on page 40 of latest draft hardcopy be improved, to include the following additional wording highlighted between " ..... " e.g.
The vision for Abbeyfeale is to create a modern market town, with a distinctive identity "that links back to our history, heritage, and culture," a place people can be proud of, with a strong visitor economy, and a high quality "family oriented" residential offer in the town centre.
(ii) The wording around the exploring of development of Camping, Glamping and Campervan facilities in Abbeyfeale as mentioned in "Priority Action #7" on page 73 and associated "Ambitions" list on page 75 of latest draft hardcopy is not replicated in "Priority Action #7" on pages 92 - 93 under the heading "Delivering The Plan" which begins on page 84. These items need to be added to "Priority Action #7" on pages 92 - 93 under the heading "Delivering The Plan".
